At the beginning of each section in the chapter assigned, copy down the objectives. As you read, try to keep the objectives in mind.
Complete the section assessment at the end of each section in the text. Bring a copy to tutorials to check and correct using the key provided.
Copy the key concepts at the end of the chapter listed as "study guide". Physically writing these down helps file these into our memory. Make sure you do this in a quiet place without disturbance.
Make a flash card word bank of main vocabulary along with specific examples. Main vocabulary is listed at the end of every chapter in the study guide.
Complete the chapter assessment at the end of the chapter. Bring a copy to tutorials to check and correct using the key provided.
Use and explore the online resources found on this site and those from the textbook author.
Use the resource CD’s provided at tutorials...self guided labs and TAKS tutorials.
Listen to the Audio Book...it plays on widows PC’s and mp3 players. The files are posted on the download page of this website.
Bring your copies of the study guides to tutorials to check and correct using the key provided.
Make a list of any unanswered questions that may arise and bring them to tutorial.
ALWAYS do correctives for items that are incorrect in your study guides and chapter assessment. Do this BEFORE the day of the test.
Do ALL the assignments on time and turn them in when due.
